Welcome 1st Graders! First Day of School!

Hello Mrs. Chaffin...
Nicolas Garcia just checking in. We just wanted you to know that he is adjusting well to his new school. They really push reading programs here so he reads a book a night. He is doing a lot of math and has been using your tricks to work thru it. We really miss your class but he is adjusting. His new school is Liberty Elem. It has outdoor hallways. There are 5 1st grade classes and aprox 18 to 22 students max per class. We will keep in touch and keep you updated. He did have a cold day they had to shut the schools down because too many people were using furnaces as the weather dropped down in the 40's and that is very unusual. He also was kept in from recess due to the cold. He thought his teacher was crazy! I thought his old classmates would like that. Please let his friend know that he misses them and is having fun. Thanks for everything you did for Nicolas and have a great year.
