Update...
First grade students: We will be having a field trip to Safetyville. Please look for the permission slip. It will be coming home next week! We just finished a science unit on sorting things out and we are beginning a new one called "Weather Watchers". Please ask your students about this exciting new unit of study!
Fifth grade students: 5th graders are finihsing up their unit on simple machines and will begin working on an astronomy unit next week. Students will be tracing the movment of the sun, learning reasons for the seasons, and reading about the movement of the planets in our solar system.
In math our students will be putting their knowledge of gemoetry to use as they prepare to design a Geometry Martian. Look for these completed designs by the end of next week.

Raz-Kids... 1st Graders
Hello Parents!
I have added a link to the educational links that is labeled raz-kids. If you click on this link, it will take you to the raz-kids site. When you get there, click on log in and type bchaffin. From there, your child will know what to do.
At this site, there are several books at your child's reading level for your child to read, take quizzes, or listen to. There is also a cool place for your child to build their own "space adventure".
Click on raz-kids and watch your child enjoy reading!
